Yih-Lan Liu

I majored in Plant Pathology in college but soon realized I lacked the gift for healing plants—so I set my sights on healing people instead. I am now a faculty member at the Institute of Education, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, with research interests in adolescent social development and psychological adjustment. My current work focuses on the psychology and behavior of internet use, bullying bystander behavior, and the impacts of bullying-related trauma. Although I don’t have a green thumb, having grown up in the countryside, I still cherish environments where I can grow vegetables, tend flowers, and enjoy the shade of trees—finding comfort in the quiet companionship of nature.
