I am a French PhD student at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. My PhD research focuses on the creation and expansion of the land-grant institution in Hawai‘i during the 20th century. Drawing on environmental history, agricultural history, and the history of science, I investigate how this institution has shaped the environment, agriculture, and populations of the archipelago, as well as their perception and use, in Hawai‘i and beyond.
